The Mi Vida exhibition
last class took place in the Műcsarnok, we went to see the Mi Vida exhibition. It was especially interesting, as we had the assistant curator guieding us around and explaining everything. We learnt that it was a joint production of a spanish museum and the hungarian Műcsarnok, bringing here the collection of that spanish museum. We got to know some backstage things, which I really enjoyed.

Fine Arts Museum
Last class was held at the Fine Arts Museum, Budapest. We had the chance to look at three different exhibitions: the Mucha, the Secession reflections and Moreau. We were all critical, lookaing at not only the art works, but the installation as well. I personally liked the Mucha, however all his works are so similar that after a while it just became too much too look at. The Moreau exhibition was not good, the installation was a little funny, they used too bright colours. Now I learnt taht even that can be very important.

Theoretical exhibition
Last time we evaluated Oksana's exhibition, how the opening was, etc. It was really good to hear that she is impressed and she thought it was cool - so we managed to satisfy the artist. But its true, apart from Maya's small mistake everything went well.....however in the beginning I was very nervous. But it was a useful experience. Another important thing we started to discuss in groups (as a brainstorming) was our own theoretical exhibition. I chose to throw a retrospectiv exhibition for Gábor Áron in the LUMU. Brainstorming was useful, I got new ideas from the others and Rita too.

Trip to the galleries
Last class was very interesting, we went to the Várfok Gallery and a couple of other ones nearby to have a look at the installation and how they prepare for an upcoming exhibition. It was interesting to see all these little things etc.

Trip to the Ethnography Museum
Last class was very interesting: we spent it in the Ethnography Museum, Budapest. It is really useful to see all the things that we learnt so far in reality. The Other exhibition was good, however we were really critical, and it was a good experience....I learnt a lot about installations etc. I think these classes will be very useful.

The Catalogue
Today we made further steps in organizing Oksana's exhibition, we are not far from the end. It is really a team work, so it is good. We also looked at different catalogues and discussed what they should contain, how they should look, quality, etc. I guess it is useful if I have to make a catalogue once, now I know more about it.Next week we will be going to a field trip, to the Ludwig Museum, so we can see all these thing "live".

Oksana's exhibition
Last class our main project was to create Oksana's exhibition. We already had the groups and the tasks divided, but we still needed further organization. Right now everyone know what we are doing. The only surprising thing for me was, that Oksana didn't have a very clear idea of what the title of the exhibition should be, even though these are her works.....Then we had a look how an invitation should look like and what it should contain, it was very useful now since we have to make the invitations and poster for the event as well.

Defining criteria for the course
This week's class started with going through the criteria needed for this course. We must make an exhibition and a theoretical one as well, which seems to be useful. I like working and knowing what I am expected to do, it makes everything easier. During the class we also hade a good task, we had to guess the concept of different exhibitions by looking at the paintings and pictures. Afterwards we made an even closer look at the process of creating an exhibition, I made some useful notes.
Create an Exhibition - First week
We had our first week of the new practica of this semester: Create an Exhibition. It seems to be interesting, the first classes were mainly about introducing ourselves and our interests. Afterwards we made an overview of the must-dos of creating an exhibition. It was interesting, however we knew most of it, but it is better to put everything together.
